S&P Global Market Intelligence collects and maintains business relationships information for public companies, subsidiaries of public companies, and some private companies that issue debt in public transactions using a multi-faceted approach that includes cyclical validation of company reports, web content mining, utilising S&P Capital IQ-collected Key Developments data and company surveys.

Combined with the Handshakes network mapping capabilities, this dataset presents a wide range of companies and their customer/supplier relationships, strategic alliances and competitor relationships.
